Always attuned to global trends and seismic shifts in the commercial landscape, the Kewalram Chanrai Group has recently ventured into the clean and green energy space, with a commitment to develop sustainable business models, which leave a reduced ‘carbon footprint’ on the environment.

In year 2006, EcoProcessors International Limited, Singapore was set up as a holding company to create and manage environmentally-friendly businesses. Within this portfolio are EcoOils Processors Sdn Bhd, a new green field initiative in Nilai, Malaysia, and EcoOils Sdn Bhd, located in Johor, Malaysia. Both companies specialise in recovering vegetable oils from industrial residues. The recovered vegetable oils and lipids are formulated for application in animal feed (poultry and dairy), bio-fuels and the bio-diesel industry, the lubricant industry and soap manufacturing.

Another business unit within EcoProcessors is EcoAdditives (India) Ltd, located in Hyderabad, which is the marketing arm for lipids and formulated fats for animal feed and the lubricant industry.

To stay in the forefront of growing environmental science and technology, EcoProcessors has invested in R&D facilities and set up strategic partnerships with universities and consultants to conduct research and develop new and innovative applications.
